The Hurt Locker - Directed by Kathryn Bigelow

This movie surprised the hell out of me with how good it was. I had read all the reviews and heard all the good press, but still, this movie was tense as shit. Normally, hearing nothing but unanimous praise for a film works against it for me, but the praise that this film has received is well deserved. I’m honestly hard pressed to think of a film that has put me on the edge of my seat for the entirety of its running time, but this one did just that. Find a way to see this movie, you’ll be glad you did. Let’s see if James Cameron can trump his wife (Bigelow is married to Cameron) later this year when Avatar finally comes out. To be honest, I’m not sure he can.
